In the clip, the uploader mentions that no one wanted the fur baby because of his eye infection. However, the pet parents couldn’t leave him at the center after adopting another dog, Duke.

So, the humans brought both pups home and knew George would need “extra care.” From eye drops to visits to eye specialists, the family tried any way they could to help George see better. However, his condition seemingly didn’t change. “Sometimes loving them & wanting the best for him means making the hard decision,” on-screen text reads.

Furthermore, the pet parents reveal that George will become a “one-eyed” pup, but he will still be the “exact same” pooch for them. He will be the same George they “fell in love with from the beginning.” Meanwhile, the human’s love towards their puppy has touched viewers’ hearts.
