Michael only stepped away for two minutes, which was enough time for puppy Cowboy to disappear into the one place nobody expected. The pup had gone missing from the room, leaving dad looking around for him. He spotted his other dog, Cactus, lying in his crate. He also noticed the little surprise tucked beside him.

Cowboy had squeezed in with his big brother and settled right into the space. The sweet scene was shared by @cactustherescue, and the rescue dog and new puppy brother clearly have a very comfortable arrangement going on. Cactus looks perfectly happy to share his spot, too.

The clip has already pulled in more than 143,000 likes. Michael is looking for Cowboy when he notices Cactus in the crate. He asks his rescue dog if he has seen the puppy, unaware that the answer is sitting right behind him. As he moves closer to the crate, Michael spots Cowboy tucked against Cactus. His question cuts off halfway through when he realizes what is happening.

“You’re in the crate with Cactus?” he asks, sounding just as amused as anyone watching. Cowboy, meanwhile, seems completely comfortable with his decision. He has found Cactus and decided there was no place he would rather be. Michael asks whether Cowboy followed him inside and then gives Cactus a little praise. He pets the puppy before reaching over to Cactus, telling him how nice it is that he let Cowboy join him.

Cactus takes it all in without much fuss. Just a big dog allowing his much smaller brother to curl up beside him. Viewers clearly got a kick out of seeing the rescue dog cuddle with puppy tucked into the same crate. One person called Cactus “the best big brother,” while another joked that Cowboy may be testing the limits of personal space already. One comment singled them out, while another imagined Cactus thinking, “I didn’t let him in… he just came in!”

The dogs cuddling in the crate scene ends with Michael giving them a few more pets before leaving them to their “little nap time together.” For Cactus, the crate once offered him a quiet place of his own. Now, Cowboy has apparently decided it works just fine for two.
