Labradors Take a Train Through Switzerland & Seem to Know They Have a Great Seat

Two Labrador Retrievers turned a scenic Swiss train ride into an unforgettable adventure, but their calm behavior reportedly did not sit well with everyone on board. Woody and Hector stayed close to their humans, quietly taking in the mountain views as the train traveled through the Swiss Alps. The adorable journey appeared in a video that showed the two dogs enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

The video shows the Labradors sitting beside the train windows as Switzerland’s mountains, green hills, and bright blue waters stretch out behind them. Woody and Hector appear remarkably calm throughout the journey. One of the dogs sits near the open side of the carriage and watches the landscape, while another rests comfortably against his human. Hector looks out at the mountains, appearing more interested in the scenery than the people around him. The dogs also remain quiet while other passengers and children look toward them. 

The experience became less pleasant during the journey up when some passengers sitting near Woody and Hector reportedly reacted strongly to their presence. According to their owner, the passengers were not only uncomfortable around dogs but also reacted whenever the Labradors made small movements. The owner said people screamed when Woody shook his ears or Hector wagged his tail. Even children who laughed and pointed at the dogs reportedly upset the passengers. The owner acknowledged that some people genuinely fear dogs and said they understood that concern. However, they felt the reaction was unnecessary because the two Labradors remained well-behaved and simply wanted to watch the views.

The video’s caption asks viewers whether they would sit beside Woody and Hector on the train, adding a playful twist to the story after the dogs reportedly struggled to find welcoming fellow passengers during the ride up. One user wrote, “Sit next to them?! Honey, I’ll sit on the floor with them!! Wherever they are. I’m there.” Another viewer said, “Labradors are the sweetest dogs – I used to have one. I’d be honoured to sit next to them.” Someone else called the spot beside the dogs “The best seat in the house.”
