Golden Retriever Joins Dad’s Fake Gator Test — Then Looks Ready to Show Him the Way Out

An inflatable alligator is dragging Dad into the pool, and five dogs are about to decide whether this is their problem. The first Golden Retriever to investigate the fake alligator seems both confused and concerned, while another takes the emergency too seriously. In the video shared by @imbluethesiberian, Blue, Maverick, Titan, Goose, and Bauer are each brought out separately to see how they react to dad’s very convincing poolside crisis. Their responses could not be more different. Some take one look and walk away. Others bark, hesitate, then jump straight into the water to help.

Dad starts the test by kneeling beside the pool while the inflatable alligator appears to be pulling his arm underwater. Blue, the Husky, comes over to investigate when Dad calls for help, but his expression says this situation belongs to somebody else. Then Dad falls into the pool. Blue watches. A splash hits him, and that changes everything. He backs away from the water, barks a few complaints, and heads toward the door, looking like he would very much like to be let inside.

Maverick takes a completely different approach. He barks at the alligator, paws at the pool edge, and keeps trying to reach Dad. When Dad continues struggling, Maverick finally jumps in. He swims over, lets Dad hold onto him, and leads him toward the steps.

Titan is less impressed. He watches Dad fall, looks around for someone else to handle it, and eventually lies down nearby. Dinner still seems to be a bigger priority for him.

Goose, the youngest of the lot, needs a minute. He watches the alligator, tests the water with his paws, pulls them back, then changes his mind. He jumps in and swims toward dad, eventually leading him back to the shallow steps.

And then there is Bauer. He charges in with the message, “not in my pool,” lands on the inflatable alligator, bites it, and keeps hold of it while dad swims away. Once they reach dry land, Bauer refuses to give up. He runs around with the gator until he punctures it and watches it deflate.

With more than 1 million likes, viewers have clearly picked their favorites. “Bauer didn’t come to rescue… he came to finish the job,” one person joked. Another said Titan and Blue looked tired of dad’s “mess.”
