Tiny baby toes have suddenly become the most interesting thing in the room. A Golden Retriever sits close to his human as she holds the baby in her lap, watching those little feet with growing interest. Shared by @realfoodology, the video shows the dog edging closer and giving one lick before looking straight at mom with a hopeful expression and a wagging tail. Then the camera cuts closer, and the Golden Retriever gets much more “into” the job. The baby’s feet swing gently with each lick, while the dog works his way around the soles and toes. The text calls them “forbidden chicken nuggies,” and he seems completely convinced they are.

The dog is sitting quietly in front of mom at first, but those dangling baby feet are clearly getting his attention. The text says, “POV: Your dog discovered baby toes,” and the Golden Retriever slowly moves closer for a better look. He gives one lick to the baby’s leg, then seems to think about going back for more. Instead, he pauses.

He looks up at mom with those wide puppy eyes and wags his tail, almost as if waiting for her permission. The next shot shows that he got it. The Golden Retriever is now right beside the baby’s feet, happily licking away. He starts at the sole and moves around the tiny toes, with each lick making the baby’s foot wiggle. He is gentle and completely focused on his new discovery. Then the text changes to, “aka forbidden chicken nuggies.”

That audio about a “sweet treat” makes the whole scene even funnier. The dog seems to have found the snack he has apparently been waiting for, even though nobody has actually offered him anything. The clip has collected more than 2,900 likes, and viewers are clearly enjoying the tiny-foot fan club.

One commenter called it the baby’s “first massage” and said Goldens are “angels on earth.” Another said Golden Retrievers really are among the best family dogs. Others were much more focused on the important part: “sweet treats” and the “best snackie ever.”
